Cookies

What are cookies and what do they do?

A cookie is a text file that a website transfers to your browser so that the website can, among other things, remember who you are. A cookie will typically contain the name of the domain the cookie has come from, how long the cookie is valid for and a value (usually a randomly generated unique number).

EU “ePrivacy Directive”

From 2019, European Directive 2002/58/EC rules dictate that any website must ask you to agree to any cookies that the site uses.  This is known as “explicit consent”. Necessary cookies enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility.  You may disable these by changing your browser settings, but this may affect how the website functions.

Our cookies

When you use this website you may be asked to agree to the cookie types below, that will be used for the following purposes:

●    Session cookies - for our online forms, we must use session cookies to pass information such as progress from one page of the form to the next.
●    Statistics cookies - statistics cookies provide us with general, individual-specific, information about the number of people who visit the site, the number who return; where they came from, etc. This is essential to understand which parts of the website are most popular, and to monitor user journeys so our processes can be improved accordingly.

For more information on the cookie set by Google Analytics (our statistics cookie) please see Google's privacy policy.

To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, please go to Google's opt out page.

Other cookies

As we link to YouTube, Facebook, use other third-party applications and link to third-party sites, cookies will appear from these sites if the links are followed.

Please go to the website(s) or applications directly to find out how they manage cookies; we are unable to change how our third-party suppliers use cookies.

Control, delete, and disable cookies

We will not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you; however, if you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are set by our website or, indeed, any other website, you can do this through your browser settings. Restricting cookies may cause our website to work incorrectly.

If you wish to view your cookie code, just click on a cookie to open it. You'll see a short string of text and numbers. The numbers are your identification card, which can only be seen by the server that gave you the cookie.

For information on how to do this on the browser of your mobile phone you will need to refer to your manufacturer manual.
